The Archdiocese of Philadelphia's Office of Catechetical Formation

PREP Resources

“Armed with the tools to master their role, many catechists (teachers) soon realize that teaching the Catholic faith is so much more than passing along information.  …My prayer is that this…will assist you in helping those you teach encounter the risen Christ in their midst, transforming their minds and hearts so that they will live as true disciples”

Use the resources to help lead your students to true discipleship.

Catechetical Sunday- September 17, 2023

Please know of my thoughts and prayers for you and your catechists who have offered your “fiats” in participating in this most sacred and time-honored ministry.
This year’s theme, “Come to me all you who labor and are burdened" Matthew 11:28. This year's theme will highlight the invitation we receive from the Lord Jesus to follow Him and the promise that He doesn’t want to add to our burdens; he wants to lighten them.
